Car-seat Make over

I have been TRYING for the past 2 months to decide what to do about a car seat for Lauren Adelaide, Do I fork over some $100 for a new one?

Use the old one we used for Javan (it was pooh so would have worked) OR do I just use the one the hospital gives out at birth? (Often they aren't much to "look at" but they DO work, and they are new.)

Well as the time is drawing near, I got this  Brilliant  CRAZY idea to see if I could Take Javan's car seat Apart (after all it's just collecting dust out in the shed) So off I go, to drag it out of the shed, look it over and see if there is ANY way to put NEW, CUTE fabric on it, without compromising the safety of it...(seen some making "slip covers" and that seems like it could be dangerous in a wreck) Anyway!

I asked Hubby if I could run to hobby lobby and buy some fabric, he was clueless at this point. Sure, he says!  so off I go, in search for cute girlish fabric that will work with green straps, that are with car seat.... get there and was so annoyed I'd left the clip behind that I was going to use to match up coloring....I'm searching, nothing is really "clicking" I grabbed to coordinating fabrics and was going to ring the bell, when WAIT A MINUTE...THAT'S IT!! I found what I wanted, So I ran and grabbed the bolts (like what, they were going to disappear?) HA! After putting back the other fabric I Rang the bell!

Fast forward to Home where it's 8:00 and I am ITCHING to start... But wait.... I am a Wife, and a Mom, THEN I'm a Crafter. I have to admit I don't always remember to keep it in that order.  Sadly.
Anyway by the time I got Little guy to bed I sit down and start taking the car seat a part, piece by piece, At first I was like ohh yeah! I got this! Then 2 hours later I'm like, I think I can finish it.... By 12:30am I was ready to THROW THE WHOLE THING AWAY!!! Instead I got up. shut off my machine and went to bed. Ahhh Sweet sleep!

This morning I got up and finished fitting it to the car seat, just like it was before so there is no slipping and sliding. I did ziz-zags around each slot for the buckle.. (DO THIS BEFORE YOU SEW THE WHOLE THING TOGETHER!!) It was hard trying to move this bulky thing around to make sure it wasn't going to fray when Lauren gets buckled and un-buckled  1,000000 Times. Whew! ANYWAY! I finally got it finished! So Here are some pictures! =) Hope you all have a lovely day!!

BONUS! Her Blanket we bought coordinates SOOO Good and I had NO clue till this afternoon when I went to get her blanket and put it with the car-seat. =)
